At the beginning of the evening we held a prize draw and the winner was given a live makeover session and life coaching session during the workshop. The excited audience were all keen to find out if they had been the lucky one and as most of them didn’t have the time or inclination to wear make-up and couldn’t remember the last time they had invested in their own personal development.
The winner was announced, and the cheers from the audience confirmed that Caroline was indeed a worthy recipient. She had spent a great deal of her life working for charities and good causes and was always putting the needs of others before herself. In fact she shared with the audience that she had not visited a hairdresser nor had her make up done in the past twenty years.
interactive and excited to discover why certain beliefs shaped their behaviours
and what might be potentially holding them back from achieving their goals and ambitions.
Personal stories were shared and the audience recognised that by opening up to each other they strengthened their bond as a community. There were laughter and tears as they regaled the high and low moments in their lives.
Whilst the live make over demonstration with Caroline took place, others asked for tips on how to apply their make up in the quickest time possible and what style of clothes would best compliment their body shapes.
You can see the results of Caroline’s makeover session in her before and after pictures above and she was also given a coaching session which revealed that she had an underlying passion to be a writer. She was so excited about pursuing this that she committed to the audience that she would sign up for a creative writing course by the end of the year.
Chrysalis studios has since received emails from the participants of this workshop telling us how inspiring it had been and how it would be a catalyst for positive change in their lives.
